Web site hosting

The files that make up your web site are stored on computers (known as "servers") that are connected to the internet 24 hours a day. These servers are maintained by hosting companies. We can arrange reliable web site hosting services that will keep your site online and accessible to the public at all times.

We strongly suggest avoiding the "free" or reduced fee services, since these are often unreliable and may include irritating pop-up ads that distract the user from your own web site.

For very simple changes, such as modifying a few lines of text, there is usually no charge. For more involved changes to your site, such as adding new pages, complete revisions of pages, graphics work, etc., the fee is $45 per hour. Depending on the amount of work involved, we can arrange billing on a monthly or quarterly basis. If you think that your web site will need updates on a frequent basis, you may opt to enter into a quarterly maintenance contract.
